Iridium is most durable option, lasts the longest and has the most studs. Shard is the mid-range option. Onyx is the cheapest option and has fewer studs, so it burns out faster. If you’re riding slow and scraping lightly, one slider can last a few hours of total use. But if you ride aggressively, with heavy ground contact, it can burn out in just a few minutes while throwing intense sparks. More studs = more life.

They’re designed so that the heat from the sparks doesn’t reach your shoe, and during use, it’s the slider itself that scrapes the ground, not your sole. That said, some minor wear is always possible — especially if you’re using soft or low-quality shoes. Yes — shifting and braking work just fine. FeetSliders are lightweight and designed not to interfere with foot movement or bike controls. However, we strongly recommend mounting the slider on your left foot. A poorly positioned slider on your right shoe can obstruct the rear brake, depending on your setup. Always test fit before riding.
